I find a grassy spot beneath the coastal path and where the cliff plummets 100 metres into the swirling surf. Green Island, favoured by shags, stands separated. Into the distance the September light catches Pen a Gader. The Seabirds wheel around the inlet below as I sketch, once again, for this painting.

"It wasn't long before I turned a corner to be met by a torrent. The water curled at the sides as it forced its way through the narrow opening at the head of the waterfall forming an elegant ribbon of white. Ceaselessly falling into a rock, which was eroded into a soft curve as the flow swept in and out again, and into the pool below.
I sat on a rock to sketch before crossing the river to another vantage point."
