A portrait of Evie Rose, painted in egg tempera, an ancient medium made with pure pigments and fresh egg yolk on a substrate of wooden board coated with traditional gesso made of whiting and glue. The multiple layers of super thin paint create the traditional glowing colours of Renaissance Florentine painting and can last in original condition for many centuries.
